I’ve been reflecting about the many very positive impacts Okie has had on my own life…and about how much I’m going to miss her.
I started writing down a few ideas about ways I’ve enjoyed, valued or appreciated how Okie lived her life and the wisdom she shared with me…and then more ideas…and then more ideas. After a bit, it was obvious the ideas seemed to fit into a few categories…and here they are…below. (and Kathy’s husband Peter just added a few of his ideas, at the very bottom of this post)
I’d love to gather many friends’ and family’s ideas and inspirations and to add them to these beginning ideas. Please do share! (ohhh…can’t you just hear Okie saying that?… “Please do_________. ” or “Wouldn’t you like to _____________?” )
Ideas might be thoughtful and reflective…wise and insightful…practical and useful….or just plain silly and fun!…whatever suits your fancy! Enjoy!

I think the last idea on that page bears repeating:

Any kids reading this?
especially any of Okie’s great grandchildren…
all of whom have great spirits of adventure!
Please, please, please…
do NOT even consider doing what Okie and Kay did on this ski trip!!!
at least not until you’re at least 70 years old!

The road continues.
Each of our journeys continue.
May we continue to be inspired by Okie…
and by the many who are continuing to “travel” along the way with us,
…please share your own ideas and inspirations with us all…

Please share by adding your ideas in the comments area below or by sending ideas to Kathy at kboyle777@comcast.net (for those who may not know me, I’m Okie’s younger sister Kay’s daughter. I’m the person who put this blog together and who adds Okie’s writing to it. )
Ideas might be thoughtful and reflective…wise and insightful…practical and useful….or just plain silly and fun…whatever suits your fancy! Enjoy!
